Upscale American traditional dining with views of the Portage Canal and Mont Ripley. Also, the home of the Copper Country Brewing Company! The old brick walls have been standing since 1898 and originally housing a cabinet making business. By 1911, The Board of Trade was the new occupant and heralded as one of the community’s premier eating and drinking establishments. It continued in operation for the next fifty years, and weathered through the decline of the copper mining industry. In 1967 a Michigan Tech student, saw an opportunity to purchase the building and turn it into an interesting, innovative restaurant. With a unique idea, in mind he created The Library with it’s red carpeted walls, shelves of old books and a somewhat hidden top floor eating space and bar.
